Anyone who has completed the journey from Land's End to John o' Groats in a continuous journey, in either direction, by whatever means of transport, is eligible for membership of the Association. The Committee may in its absolute discretion determine what constitutes a continuous journey and for this purpose, consideration shall be given to the applicant’s mode of travel, his or her intent and any special circumstances that are relevant. You will be asked to provide evidence of a properly completed trip which could be in the form of a diary or log book with signatures from anyone who witnessed your trip. Many B&Bs, garages and post offices have a date stamp, and will be happy to stamp and sign your log. Other acceptable forms of evidence are accommodation, fuel or refreshment receipts, which show where you were at any particular time and date.

What are the benefits of joining?

You will receive the Association's certificate celebrating the completion of your journey. All UK members are posted three issues annually of our Journal, “Quo Vadis?” which publishes the photographs and accounts of new journeys, as well as other stories and news from members. Overseas members receive a digital version. In addition, you are invited to attend the Association's social events; the weekends are at very competitive prices which cover everything unless stated. Lastly, you have the opportunity to purchase exclusive Association merchandise with our logo, including ties, ladies' scarves, sew-on badges, leather key fobs, windscreen stickers, sweatshirts, mugs, and baseball caps.

So how much is membership?

Full adult membership costs £15 per year.
Junior membership (under 18yrs) costs £10 per year.

The fee for Family membership will depend on how many apply, but will ensure a saving on you all joining individually. Please contact the Membership Secretary for details.

Associate membership costs £15 per annum. You can join as an associate member for a maximum of two years if you are planning a trip. You will receive many of the benefits of a full member including the journal Quo Vadis? and an invitation to the social events. However, you will not be eligible for election to the committee or be allowed a vote at the AGM. Once you have completed your journey, membership can be instantly upgraded (subject to evidence of your journey being provided) at no additional cost.

Please contact our Membership Secretary Adrian Cole for further details or to join. We look forward to welcoming you as a new member.
